What are Electric Circuits?

Type your answer in the box below:

Electrical circuits can be divided into three major types:

    1. Series
    2. Parallel
    3. Combination

Note: Combination circuits are circuits that contain both series and parallel paths.

What is a Series Circuit?

Type your response in the box below:

Series Circuits

The elements of a series circuit are connected end to end; the same current flows through its parts one after another as shown in Figure 9.1.

When several resistances are connected in series, their total equivalent resistance (total resistance) is equal to the sum of the separate resistances; the current is the same in each component throughout the circuit.

Equivalent circuits are used in circuit analysis as a modeling tool.
