ITI 1120
Things to do right away
Important things to do as soon as possible:
- Read the course web pages
- Read the course lab manual
pdf
- Buy the textbook (if you want) (available
in store and online at www.agorabookstore.ca)
- Print
the class notes
- Be
sure to bring them to every class.
- Obtain your
SITE computer account for the Computer Laboratory.
- This account
is different than your general university computer account. You can get the computer lab account after
you register by going to the lab (SITE Room 0110). Specific information
is available here,
as well as in the course lab manual. It
is best to go when a consultant is on duty. For the lab schedule, click here.
- IMPORTANT: you
must know your university "PIN" number in order to get an account.
This is your Infoweb Student
Services password issued to you by the university when you registered.
- Note: your "PIN" is used to get your account, but is not
the password for your account. You will be asked to choose one. Be
sure to keep it secret.
- If you haven’t
already discovered which lab and tutorial section you are in, find out.
- Use the "Registration Navigator" to determine which section
you are in. Please be aware that if you ask InfoWeb for your personal
course schedule, it will just print all of the lab sections.
- There will be no labs or tutorials during the first
week of classes. Labs and
tutorials
will start during the second week.
- If you want
to work on your own computer, you can install the software that we will
be using for this course on your computer so that your computer's environment
is the same as the SITE computer lab. Click
here for instructions on how to do
this.
