USRA Opportunity

I am seeking an undergraduate student to work in the VIVA Lab during the summer of 2012 or 2013. The work would involve contributing to ongoing research projects on color imaging such as color filter array (CFA) demosaicking, sub-pixel image display processing and generation of spatiotemporal color test patterns on a graphics display.

The candidate would be expected to apply for and get an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) (Note that the deadline for 2012 has now passed). The details of this program and eligibility criteria can be found on the NSERC website: Undergraduate Student Research Awards Program

I would expect the applicant to have a strong knowledge in color image processing such as obtained by taking CEG4316 or equivalent. Knowledge of openGL and Visual C++ could also be a benefit.

Qualified candidates can contact me at edubois@uottawa.ca to further discuss the opportunity.
