• The Intenet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) manages all kinds of importants internet related listings, including TCP/UDP port numbers, top level domains (TLDs), URI schemes and URN name space
• The World Wide Web Consortium handles all things web
• HTTP response codes specify the possible codes a Web Server can return when receiving a request.
