Kinds of set of lines :

• fine structure (2 facts) - Splitting of spectral lines by the spin-orbit energy - i.e., the potential energy of the inherent electron magnetic moment in the atom's own magnetic field.
• lambda doublet (3 facts) - Two lines in the microwave region of the spectrum of the OH molecule caused by splitting of electronic levels.
