Energy resources and electric power generation, transmission and distribution; simple generator models, transformers, transmission lines. Power system analysis: per unit representation, real and reactive power flow, VAR compensation, fault analysis and protection. Power system control. Power system stability. Load representation, power quality. Computational modelling of typical power system problems. Prerequisites: ELG2137, ELG3316
